A few years ago, in the UK, there was an organisation called "Keep Sunday Special". They came into being because the UK government were trying to deregulate Sunday shopping. Now the major shopping malls are more crowded on Sundays than Saturdays. But Sundays were always regarded, by many non-church-goers as boring. That was a bad reputation for the day that is special and the day that Jesus rose from the dead.

I am glad that people can enjoy their Sundays. In my youth I was only allowed to take the dog for a walk and expected to attend church 3 times.

But somewhere in this busy world we need to find some time to stop, to reflect and hopefully get in touch with our spirituality.

Enjoy the day, but find that quiet spot and perhaps find there that you are in the presence of God, who loves and cares for you.
