Start of a new week, except that's Sunday, yes I know what you mean. The daily round and common task, back to the grind, earn a crust..... both you and I could go on.....that Monday morning feeling.

Let me ask a question

 Did you go near a church yesterday?

If you did

are you longing for the next praise worship for that real lift? It might be worth reflecting that the God you went to meet is not housed in church but lives in his world, where people work sweat and swear, where there is hardship, hatred and bloodshed in some parts of the world and where Christians are called to minister to the marginalised of society as Jesus did.

If you did not

then you have to determine what your life is for. Quick fix enjoyment at the weekend, good career, big house, plenty of money....the decisions are yours.

But perhaps you might reflect that when those are taken away, and I have seen the sad people who tell me they were powerful, influential....once. Now they are well retired, no one wants to bother with them anymore.
